rabindranath tagore

&

touch me with thy fire ,

burn and purify my life.

lift my body

and make it thy temple lamp.

let my songs be the oil

that feeds the flame .

in the core of darkness

stars blossomforth at thy touch,

and my agony aflame

rises to heaven.

உனது நெருப்பால் 

 

என்னைத் தீண்டு -

 

எரித்து என் வாழ்வு 

 

தூய்மை ஆக்கு -

 

உடம்பை உயர்த்தி 

 

உனது ஆலய தீபமாக்கு -

 

என் பாடல்கள் எண்ணெயாய்  

 

சுடரின் உணவாகட்டும் -

 

இருட்டின் கருவில்

 

உன் தொடுதலின் விளைவால்

 

விண்மீன்கள் பூக்கின்றன :

 

விண்நோக்கி என் துயரம்

 

தீநாவு நீட்டி  எழுகின்றது .
